About Throo
Throo is a zero-commission ride-hail app in New York City, operated by TADA Mobility (USA) under a TLC base license, which says it is now live after a summer 2026 launch. Drivers use their own TLC-plated car and keep 100% of the fare after city-mandated taxes and regulatory fees, while riders pay Throo a small fixed platform fee. Throo's illustrative Manhattan to JFK trip shows a $79.99 fare paying the driver $52.33; no hourly figure is published. Drivers cash out from the driver app to a bank account or debit card, and instant cash-out fees may apply.
Who can apply
Every driver must already hold an NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) driver license and drive a TLC-plated vehicle. You apply by downloading the Throo Driver app. Throo has also published rideshare disclosures for Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, but driver recruiting is currently for New York City.
