Thinkster Math

About Thinkster Math

Thinkster Math hires online math tutors to coach a roster of K-12 students through live whiteboard sessions, grade their work, adjust learning plans and talk with parents. Thinkster says tutors earn $20 to $40 an hour and up to $3,000 to $4,000 a month depending on how many students they manage. This is a steady commitment rather than a drop-in gig: part-time tutors work at least 20 hours a week and commit to at least 6 months.

Who can apply

You need a math teaching background or a college math major or minor, familiarity with Common Core and Singapore Math, and to complete Thinkster's free certification program. Sessions follow US Eastern time.
