About SafeRide America
SafeRide America is a nonprofit designated driver service in Metro Atlanta. Lead Drivers drive customers home in the customer's own car while a SafeRide chase driver follows, so no customers ride in your vehicle. The starting Lead Driver commission is 30% of completed fare revenue, and tips for the Lead Driver are 100% theirs. Drivers work as independent contractors and choose which nights they are available; rides, hours and earnings are not guaranteed, and payout timing is not published.
Who can apply
Lead Drivers must be at least 25 years old with 3 or more years of licensed driving experience, an acceptable driving record and a background check. You need a reliable smartphone and must respond promptly to dispatch. Shifts run at night, between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m., seven nights a week.
