About Pearson Scoring
Pearson hires remote scorers to grade student responses to open-ended test questions, including written answers and essays, using a customer scoring guide. Scorers complete paid training and qualification before starting. Pearson says pay is generally $15 per hour plus performance incentives of up to $150 per week, and scorers accrue sick leave. These are seasonal, temporary W-2 jobs paid through payroll, busiest from February through June; the pay schedule was not stated.
Who can apply
You need a bachelor's degree (foreign degrees require an equivalency report), US work eligibility, and must work from the US or Puerto Rico for at least 20 hours per week. Scorers provide their own secure computer with a webcam and headset, plus a mobile phone for multi-factor authentication. Teaching experience is preferred, and applicants must pass qualifying tests.
