About Native Camp

Native Camp is a Japanese online English school where tutors teach conversation lessons to mostly adult learners in Japan. Tutors take on-demand lessons that students join instantly or booked lessons, at any hour. Native Camp describes performance-based pay plus bonuses, but per-lesson rates and payout terms are not published.

Who can apply

You must be at least 18, and no teaching certificate or experience is required. Applicants pass an English proficiency test with 80% or higher, an AI speaking test, an environment check and a demo lesson, and need a PC or laptop with a webcam, a headset, 2 Mbps or faster internet and Chrome or Edge. There are no minimum hours, but excessive cancellations can end your contract. Applicants from Russia, Ukraine, Cameroon, Nigeria and Zimbabwe are not accepted.
