About National Consumer Panel
National Consumer Panel (NCP) is a joint venture whose household purchase data feeds NielsenIQ and Circana. Panelists scan the barcodes of everything their household buys with the NCPMobile app and can also take surveys and special diary or product studies. There is no cash pay: members earn weekly reward points for participating, plus extra points for surveys and special studies. Points are redeemed for digital gift cards, and members also get automatic sweepstakes entries for cash and prepaid card prizes.
Who can apply
The panel is open to households in the contiguous 48 states, not Alaska or Hawaii, with one panelist per household. Selection depends on demographic openings, so there may be a waitlist of a few months, though NCP says most people are selected within a month. Joining is free, and NCP warns about scams that falsely use its name. NCP is tied to NielsenIQ, which is a separate company from Nielsen Media.
