LinkedIn AI Trainer is a LinkedIn program that pays members with professional expertise to do annotation work that trains AI systems for LinkedIn, Microsoft and outside clients. Tasks include evaluating AI responses, ranking preferences, writing rubrics, creating fine-tuning examples and completing agentic tasks. LinkedIn's help page says pay varies by client and project and does not give rates, while LinkedIn's contract postings for the program list about $90 to $160 an hour, such as $100 to $130 for a software developer AI trainer. Payout method and timing are not published, and the postings describe per-project pay with an estimated hourly rate.

Who can apply

Signing up requires logging in to LinkedIn, and the program is rolling out gradually, so the signup page may not be available to every member yet. Applicants have an AI-led conversation about their expertise and take a skills assessment covering five annotation task types, and LinkedIn recommends verifying your profile with a government ID. Project roles seen so far are US-based contract positions, not employment.
