Lots of oversize pictures on website (which are meaningless) and which is always the first indication that it's smoke & mirrors. When you've got a webpage filled with big pictures of 20-sumpins barely out of college, that's your clue to run away. Those pics have zero meaning. Zero salience to anything. All fluff.

Here you will not get 'hired' by just sending your curriculum and a cover letter. Be prepared for SEVERAL interviews where you're expected to show your face, speak a couple languages, write a few lengthy essays/coding prompts and just open up to a complete stranger (...more like an AI bot). They've now tried to wash their faces and change their name to Meridial AI but it's the same slop.

Joined as a Spanish-English Customer Service employee. Take calls, answer emails, actually help people with any issues they could have using Invisible AI [now it's called Meridial]. And despite their interview prompts getting all cocky and asking ME to choose my desired pay rate, it ended up being $5/hr. I'd make more picking strawberries under the sun all day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I applied and passed right away, great. But then the tasks weren't from them, but from random AI companies that didn't work in AI, per se? One of them wanted youto tutor people and give them language classes, for example. The assignments are also ridiculous. Writing essays on climate change and transportation, if you like having breakfast or not, playing games with the AI. I get that nobody wants ...
