About Kid Car
Kid Car is a New York City car service for children and families. Every car carries properly installed car seats, and drivers take kids to school, local activities and the airport. Most rides happen during the day and are requested up to 48 hours ahead. Kid Car publishes minimum driver earnings per ride during NYC school hours of $60 for a sedan, $70 for a minivan and $90 for an SUV. It does not say whether drivers are contractors or employees, or when they are paid.
Who can apply
The driver application asks for an NYC TLC license number and your vehicle type (sedan, small SUV, minivan or large SUV). Drivers need no criminal history and a clean driving record for the past 2 years. Kid Car says its drivers are fingerprinted, vetted and trained to install car seats.
