Jeenie is an on-demand interpreting app. Interpreters take medical, ASL and general video and phone calls whenever they log on. Pay rates and payout terms are not published, though Jeenie says interpreters can earn up to triple the industry average.

Who can apply

You need native proficiency in two languages, a headset, reliable internet and a quiet space. Medical interpreters need 2 or more years of experience, HIPAA certification and familiarity with NCIHC standards, and ASL interpreters need 2 or more years plus RID, NAD, BEI or similar certification. Open roles are contractor positions listed by language, several of them US-only, with no minimum hours.
