About IB Examiner
The International Baccalaureate (IB) recruits examiners through the IB Educator Network (IBEN) to mark or moderate students' exams and coursework in the Diploma, Career-related and Middle Years Programmes. Examiners work within set marking windows with flexible arrangements. The IB says it pays competitive rates but does not publish them. Examiners are paid as independent contractors through marking claims; the payment method is not stated.
Who can apply
You need a degree in the subject or a related subject and at least one year of teaching it to the right age range: 14 to 16 for MYP, or 16 to 19 for DP and CP. If you are not teaching now, you must have taught or examined within the last 3 years, and you must be able to assess in the response language. The role is open worldwide subject to vacancies, and US examiners may earn teacher credit hours through Kent State.
