holoholo is a locally owned rideshare service in Hawaii, from the team behind SpeediShuttle. Drivers take on-demand and pre-arranged rides, including airport trips, in their own car. holoholo says drivers get 60% of the base fare plus no-show and cancellation fees, with percentages that can vary by island, and a bonus for hybrid and electric vehicles. Its Driver Ambassador bonuses pay $100 for 15 trips in a week and $150 for 28 trips. The payout method and timing are not published.

Who can apply

Drivers must be 21 or older with at least 3 years of driving experience and pass a background and driving-history check. The car must be a 4-door vehicle with at least 3 passenger seats, 8 years old or newer (no limousines or taxis), and pass an in-person inspection at the island office. Bring a US driver's license, proof of residency, registration, personal insurance and a Hawaii safety inspection sticker. holoholo pays a $100 referral bonus for each recruited driver who stays active for 90 days.
