About EF Teach Online

EF Teach Online hires independent contractors to teach EF's adult learners online, in 45-minute group lessons of 6 to 8 students and 40-minute private lessons, in English, French, German or Spanish. Contracts usually run 6 months and can be renewed. EF does not publish rates; it pays bonuses for strong student feedback and premium rates for some class types. Teachers invoice by the 5th of each month and payments are authorized by the 22nd.

Who can apply

English teachers need C2-level English, a bachelor's degree in any field and an accredited 40-hour TEFL certificate, which can be finished during onboarding. French, German and Spanish teachers need C2 in the language, B2 or C1 English, a bachelor's degree and a 120-hour teaching certification. You need a laptop or desktop with webcam, a green screen, noise-cancelling headphones and legal work rights where you live.
