About Ditto Transcripts
Ditto Transcripts hires remote transcriptionists, as independent contractors or employees, for legal, law enforcement, medical, financial and general audio, including 911 calls and interviews. Ditto lists $0.80 to $1.10 per audio minute for legal, law enforcement, academic, financial and general business work and $0.07 to $0.10 per line for medical work, and says rush court work has paid up to $5.00 per minute. Pay goes out on the 1st and 15th of each month by direct deposit or PayPal. The Transcription Outsourcing website now redirects to Ditto.
Who can apply
Applicants must live in the US; residents of California, New Jersey and Massachusetts are not accepted. The application asks about US citizenship and consent to a criminal background check, and you must score 95% or higher on grammar, spelling, single-speaker and multi-speaker audio tests. You need Microsoft Office, and the form asks about your transcription hardware and software. Ditto says it cannot reply to every applicant, and a paid certification partner linked on its page is optional.
