Cafetalk

About Cafetalk

Cafetalk is an online lesson marketplace where tutors teach languages, music, academics, IT, art, counseling and hobbies, mainly to learners in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Europe and the Americas. Tutors build their own lesson menu and set their own prices. Payment requests are made monthly, manually or automatically, to a local bank through Payoneer or to PayPal, with a minimum payout of 3,000 JPY. Cafetalk's commission was not confirmed.

Who can apply

Applying is free, but tutors must be adults and cannot be current high school or college students. You teach on a PC or tablet (not a smartphone) with stable internet, and English teachers need native or near-native English plus a teaching certificate. Applicants go through a profile review and interview, and some categories close to new applicants at times. Residents of Russia, Iran and Afghanistan are not accepted.
