Who can apply

You need a completed transcription training program or about 2 years of relevant experience, since Athreon offers no entry-level training, plus reliable high-speed internet, a secure computer and a quiet workspace. Roles are generally for US or Canada residents, a background check may be required, and AAERT certification is preferred for some legal work. Openings change with client demand, and on October 4, 2026 the only listed role was a freelance Spanish transcriptionist and translator. Athreon says it never charges applicants and emails only from @athreon.com.
