About College Board AP Reader
AP Readers score free-response answers on College Board's AP Exams during the annual AP Reading each June, either at reading sites or online from home, after rubric training. The published rate is $30 per hour for training and scoring, and on-site readers also get travel, meals and lodging covered. Readers are W-2 employees of Raise (Ian Martin Group) on assignment with College Board, while ETS still runs the event and issues CEUs. Pay arrives by direct deposit or paper check on a published payroll calendar.
Who can apply
Readers must be course-authorized high school AP teachers currently teaching the subject, or college faculty and graduate students who have taught a comparable course in the last 3 years. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. This is once-a-year seasonal work, and applications go through Raise at apply.raise.team.
