About Upshift

Upshift is a staffing app for flexible hourly shifts at hotels, catering and events, stadiums, warehouses and manufacturing sites. Pay rates are not published. The pay period runs Monday to Sunday, and pay arrives the following Friday by bank deposit or on a cash card.

Who can apply

All Upshift workers are W-2 employees, eligible for benefits after their first paycheck, and the app is free for workers. Applicants complete an online application and assessment, in-person onboarding and I-9 work eligibility documents. Upshift operates in about 30 metros in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
