Field Nation

About Field Nation

Field Nation is a marketplace where businesses post on-site IT and field service work orders, such as installs, cabling, point-of-sale and networking jobs. Independent technicians request and complete the work orders that fit their skills. Pay is set per work order, and Field Nation takes a 10% fee on the work order value. Technicians are paid automatically every Friday by PayPal or direct deposit, and Field Nation says about 90% of work orders are approved within 9 days.

Who can apply

Accounts are free, but you need the technical skills each job calls for. Some work orders require insurance, which you can get through Field Nation's optional general liability coverage at 1.5% of the work order value or its OAI option. Some work orders also require a background check or drug screening.
