About Bugcrowd
Bugcrowd runs public and private bug bounty programs where security researchers find vulnerabilities and report them through the platform, plus bug bashes, capture-the-flag events and free training through Bugcrowd University. Each program sets its own bounty per valid finding; Bugcrowd cites an average reward of $3,000 for a critical bug and more than $200 million paid to hackers. Payouts go by bank transfer or PayPal.
Who can apply
Sign-up is free, but bug hunting takes security skills. Before you can be paid you need a payout method and a tax form (a W-9 for US researchers), and Bugcrowd issues a 1099 at year end.
