These are advertised rates, not typical earnings. Each project shows its own rate, and the role pages say pay depends on "task difficulty and specialization." Reddit users say earnings usually become available to withdraw about seven days after you report your time, once the work has been reviewed. The FAQ says deposits arrive within a few days of a withdrawal request. Under the terms, work DataAnnotation rejects isn't paid, so quality matters.
Do You Pay Taxes on DataAnnotation Income?
Yes. DataAnnotation's terms say you work "solely as an independent contractor," so no taxes are withheld. US workers pay self-employment tax plus income tax on their profit, and DataAnnotation can ask for a W-9 (or a W-8 outside the US).
