About Better Trucks

Better Trucks is a last-mile parcel carrier that offers delivery routes to independent contractors through its Shift app. You accept a route offer, pick up packages at a delivery station and deliver them in your own vehicle, typically Tuesday to Saturday; packages weigh up to 50 pounds and some need a signature or age check. Better Trucks estimates $75 to $140 or more per route, paid as a flat rate even if you finish early. Pay goes out the same day by direct deposit once the route is complete and undelivered packages are returned.

Who can apply

You must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle (larger vehicles are preferred), valid insurance and a smartphone, pass a background check, be able to lift 50 pounds and submit a W-9. Coverage includes the Midwest, Texas, the Southeast, Florida, the Carolinas and the East Coast.
